My suggestion:
First boot to Safe Mode (just plain Safe Mode)
and then try following this article:
Device Manager Does Not Display Devices That Are
Not Connected to the Windows XP-Based Computer

You may need to try uninstalling all listings under Network Adapters
if the Network Bridge still will not uninstall, and then reboot to Normal
Mode and see what happens after everything is redetected and reinstalled.
