Can you move the .contact file to another directory? If you can't delete it
from the folder maybe you can move it out of there.

I am sorry to have posted this same issue on 4/27/07. Does anyone have an
answer for this annoying issue.

I am trying to delete outdated email addresses from the Contact list and I
get same error - Contacts has stopped working.

How can I debug this issue?

I did Import my Contacts list from my XP deskto to this new Dell laptop with
Vista 32-bit.

Any help would be appreciated.

<go to Start-programs windows contact, sort them in list mode, there you can
delete each of them
deleted contacts remain in recycle bin till you decide to clean it

Thanks, I have been trying to figure this out for weeks. Moving file, opening
through start programs and using each display option has not worked. I still
get the same error but drag and drop worked. I think it is a Vista 32 bit
and win mail issue nothing the user can do. I want to know when Microsoft is
going to fix it. :-)
