cannot delete browser hijack

      17th Mar 2005
every time i scan the computer it comes up with "possible
browser hijack" it runs thru internet explorer called
http://www.nowfind.net/umax3/index.php any suggestions as
to how to get rid of it would be helpful.....thanks

Hi Noah,
Boot into Safe Mode (F8) at startup;
Empty your temporary files AND your Temporary Internet Files C:\Documents
and Settings\Username\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files folder ;
Run the scan while in safe mode;
If you are running SP2, open IE--->Tools--->Manage Add-ons, and uncheck any
BHO's that you don't recognize.

Get HijackThis.exe from
http://tomcoyote.org/hjt/hjt199//HijackThis.exe

Save then Open it and select the SCAN AND SAVE LOG option.

Note where you save the log and then send it to me. I
will be glad to look at your log
and tell you what to do to get rid of it for good.
