cannot cut&paste

's Computer Specifications

I've got Windows XP,SP2 but don't have the cut,paste or copy options.They're
faded out.How can this be?

We need more information. Which application are you using that doesn't have
cut etcetera working? Is it Windows Explorer or is it another application?
