Hi,

Problem on hard drive when trying to create a new folder
at the root of shared drive. Message displayed 'Unable to
create new folder, not enough space on disk'. (have 600mB
free space)

Works OK when creating a new folder under any of the
existing folders.

Similar message when trying to save a file to root of the
drive.

You did not say what the file system is but I suspect it is FAT and that
you have reached the maximum number of files you can have in the root
directory. That limit is 512. If that is not the case then you need to
run Chkdsk on that drive.
