I suddenly can no longer create an appointment in Outlook
2003. Nothing happens. If I try to move an appointment,
I get this message: "The item may not have been deleted
correctly. If someone sent you the item, that person's
copy of the item may not be updated.".

I can, however, create a new Calendar by creating a new
folder in Mail under Personal Folders, then copying
Calendar into the new folder. The old (main) Calendar is
still there.

I did a Repair of Outlook but that didn't help.

Any ideas on how to get my main Calendar to create new
appointments?

Are you using a .PST file? If so, try running the Inbox Repair Tool against
it to see if it finds any errors. Search your drive for a file called
scanpst.exe and run it. Allow the program to make a backup of your file
before it repairs anything.
