Cannot Creat User Partition! Setup Will Not Continue!

While trying to reformat my PC, a 2.26 GHz with 80GB HDD,
I get an error message saying that "Setup cannot create
user partition! Setup will not continue!" Before this
however, Setup says that there is no user partition. Any
suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
