When I try to backup my Outlook I get the following error, cannot copy
Outlook backup: it is being used by another person or program. I have closed
everything I can think of - other person's outlook - public sharefolder -
messaging - but I still get the error. What should I be looking for in the
processes in the Task Manager?

Some common reasons why Outlook will not shut down completely when you click
either the X or Exit:

1. PDA synchronization software with your PDA in the cradle.
2. WinFax Pro (especially 10.02 in Outlook 2003) - contact their support
for an alleged fix.
3. Franklin-Covey Plan Plus!
4. COM Add-ins.
5. Mail reminder add-ins that keep a stub of Outlook open in the background
to check for new mail and fire reminders.
6. Anti-virus/firewall programs that are set to scan incoming and outgoing
mail.
7. Skype - update using their site
8..iTunes Outlloook add-in

Thank you Milly - could you give me the exe files for nos. 2,4,5,7 as I do
not know exactly what to look for in the processes in Task Manager. I would
use this to stop the processes - would I be right to do it that way?
