I am trying to network a windows xp computer with a
windows 98 computer. I previously had them communicating
but for some reason cannot any longer. Here is the
situation:
1. There are 3 computers (1 Windows XP and 2 Windows 98)
on this network. Call them computers A, B, and C.
Computer A is the XP system and C is the one that A
cannot connect to.
2. Computer A can see all of the computers on the
network, but can only connect to B. When I try to connect
to C I get an error that "The network path cannot be
found."
3. All of the other systems connect fine, including C to
A.
4. I have Client for Microsoft networks, TCP/IP, and
IPX/SPX on all of the systems.
5. I have all of the appropriate sharing options set up
and have run the XP networking disk software on all of
the systems.
Any help you can give would be great. I found it odd that
I could connect the computers in one direction, but not
the other.
