Cannot connect to SQL

I get an error message when I start Outlook. I clicked help and followed the
instructions to start SQL Server. I get "the request failed or the service
did not respond in a timely fashion. Consult the event log or other
applicable error logs for details.

Are you using BCM? That would be the only reason outlook would connect to
sql at start up.

Outlook does not normally need to connect to any SQL Server. In fact, I
have never heard of it. Do you have an add-in that needs the SQL Server?

Can you give more details, e.g. your Outlook version, account type,
add-ins, etc.?
