Running on Windows xp pro SP3.

When trying to place an order for an item via an "ADD to Cart" button on
this one website, I get a Failed to Connect message. Using my other XP
maching there is no problem. This happens whether I'm using Firefox or
Internet Explorer. The Failed Message states that:
Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at
www.1shoppingcart.com. IE says it cannot display the webpage.
I have not experienced this problem with any other websites.

I would think that it is independent of the browser. What control or
setting(s) might be causing this? I'd appreciate your input.

TIA

Found the problem:

I disabled my HOSTS file and was able to connect.

Obviously an entry for that particular site, 1shoppingcart.com has been
identified by one of my hosts file resources as one to be wary of.

You can edit your hosts file with Notepad to remove the entry for any
site you don't want blocked.

It's located here -

c:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
