I have just re-installed my Outlook 2003 and every time I start it, it says

"Your Exchange Server is unavailable."

Why?

I have W2K SP4 workstation. I have a SBS 2003 server with Exchange 2003 with
OWA activated. I can see my mail through OWA but not from my workstation. I
have tried to install the Exchange Server client in my mail settings but it
tells me that Outlook could not log on.

When I try to remove the profile and start over, every time I try to Connect
to the account by pressing the Check Name button, I get the following error:

"The name cannot be resolved. The connection to the Exchange Server is
unavailable. Outlook must be on-line or connected to complete this action."

Also, when I cancel because nothing works, just before Outlook quits, it
talks dirty to me and says:

"Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. unable to open the Outlook window. the
set of folders could not be opened. the server is not available. Contact
your administrator if this condition persists.

Well, I'm the administrator. Help.

Did you find a resolution? I am suffering the same problem.

Thank you.

Yeah, I fixed it, but you probably won't like the answer.

I re-installed windows then re-installed Outlook. That cures most
everything (as long as you back up really well.)
