Cannot connect to network share after a system restore

I had to restore a server from tape.
It is a Windows 2000 Domain Controller. I went under the
directory service restore mode, and selected authoritative
restore since this is the only domain controller on the
networ. The restore went fine, the server booted up and I
was able to log in to the server.

But I could not connect to the shares created on it server
from any workstation. The server itself would only see one
other member server and nothing else. I tried to disjoin a
workstation and join back to the domain, I got the error
the domain controller could not be contacted.

I upgraded the disk to dynamic disk before I ran the
restore, could it be a problem?

Any ideas, help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
Tito
