cannot connect to mc updates

trying to access the msupdates page and ie crashes and closes bringing me
back to desktop with no error message. what will correct this?

And are you having other browsing problems, like accessing or signing-in at
secure (https://xxxx) sites like your online banking?

i just signed in to my online bank...so that's not posing a problem?!?!?!?!?

Even assuming it's a secure site (https://mybank.money), your problem may be
caused by hijackware.

i think i should tell u that i do get an error message that goes like this:
the instruction at 0x7c901010 referenced memory at 0x0000001c. the memory
could not be read.
perhaps this is a clue.
