Hi- Sorry if this is not the correct group, please point me to the correct
one and I will repost.
From my PC I cannot connect to the Remote Desktop Console connection on
remote servers. If I use the command "mstsc /v:servername /console" I connect
to a session but not the console session, this is causing me issues on some
servers I need to access running programs on. From other PC's I have no
problems connecting to the console session. HELP !!

The date and time was Monday, May 18, 2009 10:07:05 AM, and on a whim,

Hi Pete,

Try this:
%SystemRoot%\System32\mstsc.exe -v:servername /F -console

Terry - I figured that was a typo on the -v (thought it should be a / not a
- )
but to be sure I rran "mstsc /?", turns out on my version there is no
/console
but there is a /admin switch. When I Googled that I found the explaination

Thanks for your reply, you led me to the answer.

Hi Pete,

I believe that changed with SP3 also. I thought I had made the switch
adjustment after SP3 on my Desktop shortcut, and so when I responded to
you I just pasted it in and changed the servername. But apparently I
hadn't changed this particular shortcut!

Sorry for the incorrect info, but glad you got what you wanted.
