I have two computers in Workgroup, and a wireless router. One of these
computers are "main" computer, and the second computer cannot connect to
this, but the other way is ok.

When I try to connect to main computer, I get the logon box even I have no
password on the main computer. The file sharing is enabled, and I have run
the wizard to connect computers. When I enabled the "file sharing" option in
"Folder options"(it was disabled first cause I had to take ownership of a
folder), the "User account" in the logon box on the connecting computer was
prefilled with "Guest", but I still cannot logon.

What the hell is goin' on...?

If the server (the computer that provides the shared data) is running either XP
Home, or XP Pro using Simple File Sharing, the Guest account will be required
for access. The Guest account on the server has to be properly activated, in

printers in Microsoft network" .. and the option in "folder options" called
"Use simple file sharing".

Should I use an option "use aadvanced file sharing"...?

I also wish to enable "Remote desktop", but I cannot select users from the
main computer when I try to enable this on the 2. computer, and I guess there
is a relation between these problems....

Hi Kent,

If you wish to have administrative access thru the network, you will need Simple
File Sharing disabled (ie, use Advanced File Sharing). Then you will need to
setup, activate, and use an account with administrative authority.

It solved my problem regarding file sharing both ways!

However, I still cannot enable remote desktop as I on the client machine
cannot select users from main machine to connect in the "Add users to
connect" option under "Remote desktop" ... What can be the reason to this...?

OK, getting one problem at a time is a good start. What firewall are you using?
I do know that WF has a specific option for RD, and you do have to enable it.

And wtf is Network amature.?

Im using Panda Antivirus at the time, but I have disabled its firewall. The
windows Firewall is enabled but "remote desktop" is added as an exception to
this....

If you continue to have problems, you may wish to note, from other threads in
this forum, that disabling personal firewalls is not always a productive
solution. You have to either enable and configure, or un install, any personal
firewall, to get predictable results. If PAV includes a personal firewall
component, you may have to act accordingly.

I have tested out the firewalls, they should not be causing the problem.

However, the following error message could be of interest:

When I try browse computers in the main "Connect to remote desktop" window,
and press "+WORKGROUP", there is a message saying "The domain/workgroup
WORKGROUP contains no terminal servers".....What does this mean?
