I was able to do this until the lastes update. I have been using the same
type of disc, and burn settings. I have checked the hardware and drivers and
they are fine. I am at a loss. Any suggestions?

Hi

How are you converting the files to .WMA and do you see any error messages?
Where are you transferring the .WMA files to?

Thanks for responding Will. I am getting the musiq from napster and from
ripping the CDs. I am converting the data, it is being done automatically.
When I attempt to burn the music it is then converted again (I don't know th
format) and I then get an error message to try another disc or make sure the
one being used is not damaged or try using another manufacturers disc. These
are clean, undamaged, blank dics from the same manufacturer I have always
used.

Hi

Could be the downloaded/ripped files are corrupt. Do you CRC them after the
download?

I am a novice and am not quite sure what CRC is or the process of doing so.
As far as I know the files have not been corrupted becuse I was able to burn
them in the past. I am able to view an use them fine except for burning them.

No, I still am unable to burn anything and now I am having issues with my OS.
So now I can't back up any of my data. If I find out anything I will be sure
to let you know and I hope you'll do the same.

I too was unable to burn anything, however have just tonight tried a different
cd-rw (as opposed to the cd-r I had previously used) and this has worked for
both music & data. Hopefully the end of the problem, have you actually tried
a diff type of disc?
