Using Windows XP with SP3

I have two CD drives.

E:\ is DVD-RW NEC DVD_RW ND-1300A
F:\ is DVD HL-DT-ST DVD-ROM GDR8162B

Neither one of these drives allow me to burn a CD
I have attempted to use Windows XP Roxio method as well as Nero

Under Nero, I receive the following errors:

Session Fixation error
NEC DVD-RW ND 1300A could not preform fixation
Burn process failed@16X (2400KB/s)
Power calibration error
invalid write state
could not perform end track

Is it possible that there could be wrong information in my registry under
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\CD
Burning\Drives?

I read the info from Microsoft Support and under Value Data I am not sure
whether it should have a 1 pr 2 in that box. Is there any downloads that
could assist me.
Really frustrated.

I know I cannot burn on the F: as this is a ROM

It's still "beta" software.

Did it work before SP 3 was installed? If so uninstall the
beta software SP and try your burning programs again.
