We have upgraded the desktops (NT6 SP6a) in our office from ie5 to ie6.
Two of the PCs have the following symptoms:

When attempting to browse to any website, (whether typing a URL or
clicking a favorite) nothing happens - the statusbar just indicates
"Done."

The browser locks up when clicking the Connections tab in Internet
Options.

If we uninstall ie6 and revert back to ie5.5, then everything functions
properly. But we just started using a website that requires ie6.

Did you upgrade to IE6 via Windows Update? Was the anti-virus application
running in background when IE6 was installed?

Are the machines up to date at Windows Update otherwise?

That could be explained as easily as:
1. you have disabled META REFRESH (e.g. by settting security high)
2. the site needs it (determinable using View Source)

Can you get into the Internet Properties page instead?
Run... (e.g. press Win-R and enter

control inetcpl.cpl

If it is a public site post a URL and somebody may be able to give
you more specific suggestions.
