I have a win2k, sp4 box, that will not browse the
internet. I can ping my gateway and dns servers. I can
ping outside websites by IP, but not by name. I get a
page cannot be displayed when I try and browse. I have
tried different dns servers and I have cleared the dns
cache. I am running out of ideas, thanks for any help.

netdig www.microsoft.com a

and the configuration of the DNS Client on your workstation.

Using AD?

Do you have a Root zone created in DNS (if you have AD)?

Only using your internal DNS?

Configured a forwarder?

What sort of connection do you have? ADSL? T1? Cable?

Can we see an ipconfig /all please?
