i am using internet xplorer v6.0 and it was working fine
with dialup. I receved AT&T high speed service and
running installation. My high speed never worked so i
removed it from the windows 2000 system. After removing
the software my dialup connection works fine but i cannot
browse the internet. While i am connected, i can ping
other computers across the net ok with 4 rplies but
cannot browse.

I am getting the error message "page cannot be displayed"

any ideas.....

Try Download and run:
LSP-Fix - a free program to repair damaged Winsock 2 stacks:
http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm

Tip: pasting the URL http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm into the address bar of
Windows Explorer may get you to that site. Otherwise, download LSP-Fix from
another computer. It's about 200 KB- fits on a floppy disk.

Sorry. I wish that had worked. It's quick and easy.

See:

Or, I would try your ISPs support. It may just be a configuration issue.
Also, if you're paying for high-speed but using dialup, your ISP *should*
help with this.

Do you have an installation disk for dialup setup? You could try running
that again.
