Cannot browse folders with more than 10 objects over WAN

I have users in Europe that are trying to browse shares to
a server here in the states. These users have full
permissions and can browse any folder with less than 10
objects in it. The moment they add object #11, the
connection dies and they can no longer reconnect.

Thanks,

-Bob

Hi Bob,

Wow, never heard of this one. But here are some things to check, as your message did not
provide enough details.

From Europe, can they open a folder using a UNC path that has more then 10 files in it?
When you said cannot log back on, do you mean to their own network? Through an
application?

If the UNC (or mapped drive) works for a folder on the server outside of any applications, then
the issue is with the application.

Could be some type of restriction in the application or configuration when it senses a WAN
and prevents more than x number of files per folder or something.

We are not aware of any issues with any limits on Windows for the number of items in a file
folder.

Any space allocations/restrictions in place?

Lot of trhings to check but if this is taking place in an application, then that is where to look first.

Thanks,
Gary
