I cannot browse active directory

I have about 30 HP d325's that I am trying to join to a
Windows 2000 domain. The PC's will hang when I try to
log in with an accoutn in hte domain. Also I cannot
browse the domain when I want to add a domain user to the
lcoal administrators group.
