Well I downloaded Mint 13 64bit as the only OS and found that it did not do what I wanted. So attempted to reinstall Windows & 64bit but it would not install telling me that it could not recognise the format on the drive but not NTFS. So then I tried to reformat drive using Bart this did seemed to happen but now using Bart and going into My Computer I am unabled to see the C drive and als most importantly will not download W7. HELP, HELP, I have screwed up BIG TIMEAt the momentI am using the wifes old laptop and getting withdrawal symtems.

You could try to download the drive tools for your particular hard drive. Within those tools should be an option to low level format the drive. This should zero out any data on the drive.

That's what I would try first, especially if you don't have anything important on it.
