Cannot assign static IP Address

's Computer Specifications

Hello.
I restored a DC ( W2K SP3 ) from tape, reinstalled NIC drivers ( HP NC373i )
and assigned original static IP address.
Upon reboot it reverts to DHCP.
It is not the duplicate IP address problem. ( removed all hidden, non
present devices ).
Please help.

Did you disable the DHCP client service?
