I am trying to add the Windows xp system.adm file to a group policy I have
created.

I have followed the instructions by going into administrative templates on
the relevant GPO. I then remove the system.adm, conf.adm and inetres.adm
file. I then add in the system.adm, conf.ad, and inetres.adm Windows XP
files from a share. The conf and inetres files go in ok but the system.adm
file keeps reverting back to the windows2000 origianal so i get no XP
options.

The XP system.adm file i am using is 1.3 mb in size but when i go back in it
states its the 700k original one !!

Something amiss here !

any ideas ?

regards

davidp

Hi David. Please try the instructions in the following article to upgrade the policy to show the XP settings:
