I have an issue and that is I cannot add a Comment in the Comment Field. I
have tried adding this:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServer\Parameters

On the Edit menu, Add Value name srvcomment and set the String (REG_SZ).

And I add the Data Field right after that and the name does show up but the
comment field is all grey out with the computer name in there and when I
search Network Neighborhood the computer name is there but not the comment.
The reason for this was that I want to give a description for the computer
but again it was greyed out so I search the net and found that regstry fix
which again did not help. Please advise. Thanks

Should have worked but try;
Right-click My Computer, "Manage", right-click "Computer Management(local)",
Properties|Network Identification|Description

Sounds like Server service is stopped. Do you have File&Printer Sharing
component loaded and bound?
