I'm helping a friend w/ a computer. When I tried to
downlaod SP1 for XP Home Edition, the computer rebooted
and I now have the following message:

"Windows could not start because the following file is
missing or corrupt: System32\Drivers\Ntfs.sys"

I've tried starting Windows Setup w/ the original Setup CD-
ROM but that has not worked.

I suspected that the system had a virus b/c they had not
maintained it for several years

Any thoughts?
