cannot access some corp network share folder by name

I have XP professional running in a corperate intranet network. I have a probleme to access some intranet network share folders by names (i.e. type \\hostname.domain\). But if I ping the host it works. after that, I try to access the same network share folder by IP address (i.e., type \\IP_address\), it works. My dns seems is correct. because if I run nslookup to any host (including the specific network share folder's host), it resolve the host and return the IP address. I can access almost all network share folders by name. But only a few it fail (it said "the network localtion cannot be reached"), the only way to access these folders is by typing directly the IP address (i.e. \\ip\
