The boss exchanged his laptop with a new desktop running
XP. He cannot access shared files on the server (Linux
based, running free server software). He can ping the
server. He can access internet through the server
(through a router). He created a shared file and the
other pc's on the network can see and access it. However,
he cannot see any of the computers in the workgroup, let
alone a shared file on another computer (or the server).
He has no firewall running and we disabled McAfee. Any
suggestions?
