cannot access program from taskbar

When I insert my cruzer micro U3 flashdrive, windows installs it but then I
cannot access it from the taskbar because everytime that I try, the program
pops up and when i move my mouse to access the features the UI disappears,
this is very annoying indeed, what can I do about it
