I realize that while a VPN session is active my LAN will not be accessable,
however I can no longer access my LAN even with VPN disabled. Any
suggestions?

Ihave 2 computers running winXP-PRO with SP2. I use the CISCO VPN Client on
either one, after disabling VPN I cannot access my router

Followup correction. I cannot go in either direction on the LAN once VPN
has nbeen enabled and then disabled.

I have a DI-624M router

Well, you haven't provided much info as far as what you have done to
troubleshoot. But my first guess is that your routing table is not being
changed back after you disable the VPN. Do this:

before you start up the VPN, go to a command line an type "route print".
after you disconnect do the same. Compare the two. If you need help, post
the output of both here.

Thanks Kurt sorry for the lack of info.

I have Verizon FIOS DSL. I am using the DI-264M as the interface. The
Ethernet cable from the Verizon Access point goes directly to the wireless
Router. At one time I had the free Zone Alarm Firewall running, no longer,
unless I am traveling and using open hotspot or dialout. I have Windows
Firewall disabled, depend on the router firewall. I use Sophos anti-virus,
company stadard. I run Windows XP PRO on both units

I can access the Internet from both Units. I can Ping and get a response in
either direction.

When I try to access a mapped drive on the other system I get "An error
occured while
reconnecting to Z:\\whatever. Microsoft Windows Network. The network path
was not found. The connection cannot be stored".

Under My Networks, both PC's appear under the Network, both with "+", if I
click the local machine, the local shares appear, if I click on the remote
PC I get \\server is not accessable. You might not have permission to use
the remote resource. Contact the administrator of the server to find out if
you access permissione. The network path was not found"

All shares have update permissions.

With VPN up I can access remote company servers, do normal activies such as
File copies, Remote printing etc.

Here is the output from the Route Print. It appears that the route table is
reset. I checked both sides and am only posting one result
