I have a little home network that includes 3 computer #1 xp pro and #2 and #3 have win 9
#1 (xp) is connected to my cable modem to access internet, #2 and #3 (windows 98) are connected to it through a standard hub and network card and all works fine (i access he disk disks and internet.
But when I bring my computer#2 at my sons place and i use my modem access with dialup i do connect with my home xp #1 and i do access the disk , I can even ping the gateway 192.168.0.1 but i cannot access internet i have tried specifying the gateway but then I cannot even establish connection. Has anyone have had the similar problem and how have they solved i

Hi Claude,

I have a very similar problem to the one you describe, but I have it with a
direct serial port - serial port connection into the gateway from a local pc
which doesn't have a lan card. All other pcs on the local lan work fine and
can access the internet via their lan card/hub connection and ICS.

Did you ever find a solution ?
