Cannot access Hotmail and Google since Spyware was installed

Please advise how to fix this problem - we need to
unblock and access Hotmail and Google. Also Norton
antivirus is not responding.

PC is running Microsoft Windows XP Home.

You may have several problems.

This KB article should fix the access to the Internet problem:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/892350

I'd strongly advise a full scan of your machine with a current antivirus.
If yours is still not responding you could try Norton's online scanner:

http://security.symantec.com
