I'm suddenly unable to open an extended webiste residing on my hard drive,
running W2K. I'm also unable to access it with my browser. In Windows
Explorer, if I left or right click on the site in my network places ,
explorer stops responding. Totally perplexed.

How are you trying to access it in your browser?

Are the IIS and World Wide Web Publishing Services running?

Trying to access the site in my browser at http://steve/landlovers. Have
used this address from my favorites for a few years

As far as I can tell I'm runnig both IIS and Web Publishing Services. How
can I double check.

I've also tried to access the web folder in My Network Places using Windows
Explorer. When I either left or right click on the web folder Explorer stops
responding.
