On a machine, on some links, the linking process does not function.
We tried to remove IE6 and reinstall it, but, really, it was not changed.
Example
accessing the site www.dukream.ch, on the first page there is a link, taht
is Dukre Trading System. Clicking or control Clicking on the line, there is a
new window (blank) and nothing more happens.
Putting the mosue over the link, on the status bar we see
'http://www.dukream.ch/tradesys.html'.
Writing this one as address, we access regularly the page. On the other
machines this does not happens.
For example, on such a machine it was not possible to write this e-mail,
because the process was blocked opening the window 'Nerw question'.
Accessing the same machine as another user or administator does not solve
the problem.
More, we tried to remove Internet Explorer and reinstall it, but really
nothing changed.
Can it depend on Tweak-Ui ? We tried to reset all possible to the default
conditions.
We are now writing on a computer wich has the same user and here all
functions perfectly.
How can we get rid of this?
Many, many thanks (E-Mail Removed)

From http://www.fjsmjs.com/OE/nolinks.htm

1. Click Start, and then click Run.

2. In the Open box, type:

regsvr32 urlmon.dll

3. Click OK, and then click OK again when you receive the following message:

DllRegisterServer in urlmon.dll succeeded.

4. If that doesn't fix it, see this article:

http://www.mvps.org/inetexplorer/answers.htm#new_window

5. If you are using WinXP try this:
http://www.mvps.org/sramesh2k/reg/IE...lt_Browser.reg

6. See Internet Explorer 6.0 Service Pack 1 may display a blank Web page
after you select Auto-Select encoding
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/870863

You can also try this:

Go to Start/run, and type SFC (msconfig for WinXP).
Choose 'Extract One File From Installation Disk' ("Expand File" for WinXP).
Type oleaut32.dll, not worrying about its location. Then, click Start.

Next to 'Restore From', type in or browse for the file's location, which is
probably in the Win98 (i386 for WinXP) folder of your installation CD-ROM
(typically D:\Win98), or in your Windows\Options\Cabs (Windows\i386 for
WinXP) folder, as the case may be.

Then, next to 'Save File In', enter C:\Windows\System (C:\Windows\System32
for WinXP), and click OK. System File Checker (or msconfig) looks for the
file, saves it as you requested, and then tells you that 'the file has been
successfully extracted'.

You may need to reboot.

Frank,

My husband's computer has a problem which sounds similar to this one. So I
tried what you are suggesting, got as far as typing in regsvr32.urlmon.dll
and got the message "cannot find the file . . ." What should I try next?
(He has Win98)

We are always waiting for a very kind reply. All the intelligent suggestions
of mr. Sanders had no effect.
If there is no a solution, is it possible to truly disintall ie6 and
reinstall it from scratch?
Using the remove programs had no effect...
Thanks.
