Cannot "Accept", "Decline" or "Open" emailed tasks in Outlook 2003

We have 3 XP Pro computers with Office 2003 on them, all of them are uptodate
with updates.

When tasks are assign to someone else, they cannot accept, decline, or open
the email of these tasks.
