gary,
I've been reading quite a few of your posts and hoped you could help me with
my outgoing mail problem.
Here's the facts.
New computer(dell laptop) with windows home premium vista.
Like many here, cannot send outgoing mail. Here's all the pertinent
information.
Error message for outgoing mail
your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for
this include server problems, entwork problems,or a long period of
inactivity. Subject
"test", Account: 'cindy Perusse:, Server: 'smtpauth.earthlink.net',
Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): no, Error number: 0x800CC0F
Other information for you. I've been using comcast with earthlink mail and
no problems on my windows xp program.
I have "NOT" installed any anti virus software yet.
My server information has "my server requires authentication" checked in the
box.
Outgoing server port is 25
My computer is connected through a Linksys router. Again the other two
laptops on this router give me no problems with Windows XP.
Hope this is all the information you would need. Brand new computer so plan
on calling Microsoft or DEll.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me Gary.
