I suspect that the print head is at fault unfortunately.
How old is the printer, any chance it is still in warranty? If so you should
try to get it repaired through the supplier.
If it is not in warranty try http://www.nifty-stuff.com/forum/ and look for a
head cleaning solution there or ask them the question.
The printhead is user replaceable but the cost is not much less than buying a
replacement printer so hopefully nifty-stuff can help you.

The problem could be your printhead, but it could also be the paper/ink
combination. Have you run nozzle checks and if so do the colors print
correctly and with the proper patterns? What brand of paper are you using
and what paper setting are you using? What application are you using to
print the photos? How do the photos show up on your monitor - as expected or
do they have any off colors? I have an iP4000 which uses the same printhead
as the i860 and I'll be glad to print off a sample to verify that the
problem isn't with the photo itself. Photo's from a digital camera in low
light conditions such as church weddings can have some very bad color
problems to begin with. If you want to send the photo to me, use drc023 at
sbcglobal dot net. Change the at and dot to the correct characters.

You do not mention if you have done a Nozzle Check from the Maintenance tab
in the driver and if so, what the results were.
If you have and the Nozzle Check was good, the most obvious (and often)
cause on this particular printer is that you have a BCI-6PM (PHOTO Magenta)
tank where the BCI-6M (Magenta) goes. Placing a photo magenta in will cause
green tint to your images.

I had the same problem with my 860 last year. The problem turned out
to be that I had gotten bad cartridges at a computer show.
I replaced them and the problem persisted for a while until the bad
ink worked it's way out of the print head.
