I installed windows xp on my computer and it will not
recognize my printer. Cannon does not have a upgraded
driver that will work with windows xp and said they will
not make one for that printer. Is there a way to get this
printer to work with windows xp? I thought I read
somewhere about getting printers to work by clicking on
something called (work in old version) or something like
that. this would get the printer to work like it was set
up in windows 98. Is this possable?If so, how is this done?
hate to buy a new printer,because this one works great.
had to uninstall windows xp until I can find a way to get

Although this printer is not supported in the XP environment by Canon, there
are drivers for it written by fans of the 5xxx series.
