When I first turned on my computer, it asked me to name
the computer. I would like to change the name now. I
already change the registry.

I want the neam under //documents and setting/....
to change also.

How do I change that?

When I try to rename the folder, a message comes up
stating "this is a windows folder and cannot be moved or
renamed.

This is a long one
Even if you change your user name under Control Panel/user accounts the name in
Doc&settings remains the same.What you need to do is create a new user with your
new name as well as another user..lets say X
sign off and log in as X
right click "My Computer"
properties
advanced
user profiles/settings
find your old user name and highlight it
click "copy to"
browse to "doc&settings" and find your new username
click OK.................all of your old user settings will now be copied over
to new user
OK your way out
restart and sign in as new user
check to make sure your settings have transferred
you can now delete the old user as well as user X
