Cancel a query in an IFrame from another aspx page

I want to allow the client to cancel long running queries if they
choose to by clicking a link. And I know you can do so with the
SqlCommand.Cancel() method, but the query is running in an IFrame and
the link is in the parent aspx page, where I do not have access to the
SqlCommand. Does anyone know how to cancel a query from another aspx
page? Or of any documentation on the subject.
