I set up an email redirect long ago and now want to cancel it, however there
is nothing in my rules list. I have no idea how I originally set it up, but
emails continue to come to both mailboxes. Any suggestions on how I might
stop them?

Unless you're using an Exchange account, Outlook doesn't have a redirect
function. Log into the mailbox on the web site of the mail service provider
whose address is being recirected. Perhaps you created it there.
