Hi. Sorry if i make some mistake asking, its my first time posting in
microsoft´s

newsgroup.

I have a problem, i have something(virus-spyware-whatever) that is
preventing me to access

to important security pages like
-http://update.microsoft.com/microsoftupdate/
-The download of windows defender (the link is very large)
-www.forospyware.com ( a good page for security issues, in spanish)
-and several others

I already tryed the OneCare scan, and didn´t solve the problem.
Also already tryed CClenaer, NOD32, and spybot.
I already look into the hosts file, but the pages aren´t there.
I tryed panda online scan too.

In every case, if i can´t access one link, this "thing" redirect my computer
to

"url/xampp".
For emaple, if i go to:
"http://update.microsoft.com/microsoftupdate/"
The thing redirect´s me to
"http://update.microsoft.com/microsoftupdate/xampp"

I have installed the xampp, because im developing some web pages for the
university, but i

doubt that xampp is the problem.
I believe that im being redirected to localhost, and xampp is runing on
localhost.

Any suggestions?

Im using XP SP3, spybot, nod32 at this moment.

Download and install Malwarebytes.
If you have a problem getting to the Net for tis, do it all in "Safe Mode
with Networking"

Malwarebytes is as the name says, a Malware Remover!
For the Free version scroll down their page to either download from
Download.com, or Major Geeks.com

Download, install, and update.

Important re: Safe Mode
If you happen to find a problem that you can’t uninstall / delete, reboot
the computer, and go into Safe Mode.
To get into Safe mode, tap F8 right at Power On / Startup, and use UP arrow
key to get to Safe Mode from list of options, then hit ENTER.
RESCAN your computer with your Anti-Virus, Malwarebytes and Spybot S & D
while in Safe Mode.

If unable to install above Programs in Normal Mode:
Sometimes Trojans, Viruses, Malware, etc stop you installing and/or updating
Programs to remove them.
If that happens, reboot into Safe Mode with Networking, and install, update
and scan from there.

Thanxs mick for the answer.

i have installed and updated that program, but i can´t use it, because i
can´t go to safe mode, its show me a bsod ( blue screen of death ).

Maybe that bsod is provocated for the same thing.

I don´t know if is dangerous run malware bytes without safe mode.

The bsod says to me that the video controller can´t be inicialized.
It recomends me to check if some soft or hard isn´t correctly installed. "If
the problems persist, desinstall or remove the soft or hard".

I suspect that i don´t have any hard problems. The only soft problem that i
have, is the damn google chrome, after first time probing it, that program
reboot my pc when i click in his icon. Now i installed the 1.0 version, and
reboot my pc in the installation, and i can´t remove it in the traditional
way.

No, it is not!
The makers of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware have specifically declared,
that MBAM is written to be used in "Normal" Mode.

conjunction with some other utilities). HijackThis will NOT fix anything on
its own, but it will help you to both identify and remove any
hijackware/spyware with assistance from an expert. **Post your log to

by an expert in such matters, not here.**

If the procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting this
