In previous versions, this was possible. Can this be done in 2007, and if
so, how?

Greg, this is possible.
First click on the Office button at the top left hand corner of ppt 2007 (or
was it the pizza button? <g>)
Select PowerPoint Options.
Click Advaced.
Under Slide Show, uncheck "Show menu on right mouse click".
Ok your way out and it should works now.

Shawn - I tried this in 2007 Powerpoint but the right click of the mouse will
noe return me to the previous slide. I think I un-checked two "pop-up" window
boxes. Might that have been my problem?
Thanks George
