Can you use the Configuration Management Application Block for app.config files?

Does anyone know if you can use the Configuration Management Application
Block (CMAB) for app.config files? Or do those particular .config files need
to be XML and in a specific format?

Going to use the CMAB for my application preferences file (where I save the
user preferences such as last screen location, size, etc) but was wondering
if it also can be used for app.config files....

Thanks.

Tom

You create other files, which are linked via the CMAB. In .NET 2.0, you can
encrypt the web.config, but you cannot touch it in 1.x.

Greg: Actually, this is for a Windows Forms project (i.e. Rich client, not
web)

So basically, I have to have a config file that is a 'normal' config file,
and it points to the CMAB supported config file? Is that what you are
saying?
