We have two computers connected to a router (it might actually be a switch if
that matters) and also a Mac OSX. All computers are networked together and
working fine. The only internet we have is a Verizon USB thing that accesses
the net over the cellular antennas. It works fine with the computer its
connected to but is there any way to have other computers share that internet
connection?

Ive tried the networking wizard and chose the option about "This computer
connects to the internet through another computer on the network" but that
doesnt seem to do anything

Buy a router/adsl modem......much easier. And they are NOT expensive....

Greg,

You can share through one computer. Essentially, you use the computer with
Internet connection as a NAT router, using Internet Connection Sharing.

what we have says its an "8 port workgroup switch", I guess that isnt the
same thing is it?

and cable/dsl is not an option where we are. cellular internet is our only
option and that was tough enough...that or dialup

It looks like there is no simple "wizard" or something that can make this
work is there? Everything on that site was way over my head

The Network Setup Wizard, which is what you mentioned in your first post, is
where you start. But you do have to connect the hardware properly first.
<http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/05/using-network-setup-wizard-in-windows.html>
http://nitecruzr.blogspot.com/2005/0...n-windows.html

Try it one step at a time.

satellite is way overpriced and ive never heard a good thing about it from
anyone that ive known who has had it. Many say its no better than dialup.
Our business is way out in the boonies. We JUST got city water!

It's really not that hard. See if MVP Steve Winograd's explanation
suits you better: http://www.practicallynetworked.com/sharing/xp_ics/

SonicWALL makes a unit that can handle a PCMCIA cellular modem thingy, I
believe. Not sure if that helps you.
