I send out a lot of emails for a group of over 100 people. Sometimes, the
response should go to someone else instead of me, even tho I sent the email
to begin with. I want to be able to add a REPLY TO line, with the email
address of the person who should be receiving the responses. When I do it in
Yahoo Mail, it creates a link. All you have to do is click on the email
address and it opens up a window with that email address in the TO: slot.
When I tried doing this in Outlook Express, it didn't transmit as a
hyperlink. I even made sure I was sending in HTML format. And I highlighted
the address and clicked on HYPERLINK in the INSERT menu. Any ideas what else
I can do? Is this something that can be done in OE? Or Outlook 2003? Would
appreciate any advice you can give me.

when you need a reply to address, it's usually configured on the acct, not
using a hyperlink. See if insideoe.com has any info to help with OE.

Actually, the reply to address will change every time. I want to be able to
physically type in an email address that people can just click on to respond.
If that's something that can be configured on the acct, how can this be done?

In Outlook 2003 you can specify a Reply-to address. In Outlook Express I
don't know; you would have to ask in an OE group.

Just typing in mailto:email@address doesn't work? (and here's the

For Outlook Express support, you'll want to ask in the
microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general newsgroup.

Since you're also using the web based newsreader rather than outlook
express, you might want to use
http://www.microsoft.com/communities...xpress.general
(or, since you're using Outlook Express for mail, look at the steps in
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/...groups101.mspx for
how to set up OE to use the microsoft newsgroup server). )

If I've understood what you're trying to do correctly, this should do it:

In OL2003, from the new message window, click Options (on the Standard
toolbar or the View menu) and specify the address in "Have replies sent to".
In OL2007 the same feature is available in the Options ribbon, by expanding
out the More Options box.

In the text of the message you can add the following line and MailTo:
command:

this message"

Use "%20" (w/o quotes) as spaces between words for the Subject Line, if
sending in Plain Text.
