Hello,

I have a pretty complex Outlook setup that is a pain to reconfigure
everytime I reformat the hard drive. I have Outlook 2003 setup with
about 20 different POP3 accounts, and a zillion rules that file email
to appropriate folders.

I have the Outlook configured to use my PST I have stored on the
server so that is backed up, I export all my rules so they can easily
be restored after a reformat, but it's a pain to reconfigure all the
POP3 accounts.

Is there any way to save those configurations so that I can make
reinstalling Outlook a breeze?

Thank you!

Not directly as you can with Outlook Express and could with previous
versions of Outlook in Internet Mail Only mode.

You can use the Office 2003 "Save My Settings" Wizard.

you could export the registry but it tends to break... the other option is a
prf - use the CIW to create it.

1. Open OE - Click Tools - Options
2. Select the Mail account you want to Export
3. Click Export button
4. Specify the Location and File Name

Later, you can import the Accounts settings clicking the Import in the same
dialog box.

You can also accomplish the same using Registry Settings.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Account Manager

Export the key and later any time after fresh installation, right-click on
the Registry file and click Merge.

Hope this help, let us know!
