For now all I need to do is print black and white. I have a hp 932c
printer. Will it print if there is no color cartridge in the printer?
If it will print that way, I will go ahead and refill my black cartridge.

Why wouldn't you just remove the color cartridge and try it?

No. The DeskJet 932 can print black if the color cartridge is empty, but both
must be installed in the printer.

You have the printer and I guess you know how to remove the cartridge,
then why not remove the color cartridge and print test yourself. And if
you don't print color then why need to mess with the color cartridge
for. IOW, just leave it in the printer for good.

Here I wish my HP PhotoSmart 7350 has another slot or place so I can
keep the #58 instead of having it laying on the desk.
